Description
Alinea is looking for a full-time Floor Manager to join our team! This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of Alinea while actively participating in floor service alongside the team. The Floor Manager plays a hands-on role in the guest experience, regularly serving on the floor while providing leadership and support to the front-of-house team. This position is responsible for strategizing the development of FOH team members, collaborating with the General Manager, and training staff on service standards, steps of service, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Floor Manager maintains extensive knowledge of the food, beverage, and products being served, oversees the setup and breakdown of the dining room, and ensures compliance with The Alinea Group (TAG) standards. Additionally, this role is responsible for anticipating the needs of upper management while fostering staff morale, monitoring team performance, and ensuring the precise execution of service.This is a full-time position, and candidates must be willing to work 45+ hours, 5 days a week.

Primary Responsibilities
Work 5 services per week at the General Manager’s discretion - may include working in a section based on business needs.
Leads, alongside the GM and AGMs, a pre-service meeting to properly communicate to the service staff the special reservations, dietary restrictions, changes to food and beverage menu items, and expectations of the service ahead.
Assists the GM and TAG HR Team with the recruiting, training, professional development, and discipline of FOH staff.
Works cohesively with the FOH teams to prepare for service, breakdown service, and run service properly.
Strategizes operational efficiencies by:
Identifying opportunities for cross-training
Reviewing upcoming operational needs & planning for coverage (PTO, offsite events, etc.)
Leads by example and communicates daily with chefs and service teams to build a collaborative atmosphere for FOH/BOH.
Strictly adheres to alcohol serving regulations.
Secondary Responsibilities
Audits service areas for compliance with health department requirements of food and beverage safety and staff hygiene.
Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
Maintains thorough understanding of industry and stays abreast of industry trends.
Reports any maintenance deficiencies immediately to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
Ability to communicate in proper English both verbally and in legible writing.
Expert spirits and cocktail training and knowledge.
Food Handler & BASSET Certification.
Five (5)+ years in FOH service in a fine dining atmosphere
Three (3) years having been in a supervisory role.
Desirable Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Hospitality or related subject matter
Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and/or food service.
Fluency in a foreign language.
Certification in CPR.
Knowledge of national and international restaurants/bars of similar award caliber, theme, and/or price point.

Prior formalized management training is desirable.

Exempt Salaried position, starting at $80,000 - $85,000/year
