FIRE is looking for a Full-Time BOH Porter to join our team! The BOH Porter is an important part of the team that promotes high sanitation standards by maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment for our guests. This is a full-time position paid hourly. Candidates must be available to work five days a week (Tuesday through Saturday, 40+ hours per week), but open availability is preferred.

FIRE: A bold tasting menu experience pushing fire and its transformative power in cooking. In creating this concept, Chef Achatz magnifies open fire cooking techniques including ember cooking, ash-salt crusting, Patagonia-style asado crosses, and bringing back the iron presses. He explored all temperatures from top to bottom.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, cleans, polishes, and maintains equipment and tableware for service, including dishware, utensils, and interior decor
• Operates dish machine, cleaning tools, and other equipment with precision and accuracy
• Quickly and safely polishes and restocks a wide variety of plate ware
• Works closely with back-of-house staff to remedy any immediate needs during service
• Reports any maintenance deficiencies to the appropriate resource
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors/carpets; remove garbage to compactors or recycling bins
• Maintain general cleanliness of dining rooms, kitchens, restrooms and outside areas
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Unprecedented work ethic
• 1+ years of experience in a support (dish, porter) role
• Works well in a fast-paced, chef-driven environment
• Works collaboratively as part of a team, or individually
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Operation experience (dish machines, cleaning tools)
• Thinks quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations
• Ability to perform job functions w/ minimal supervision
• Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus 

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
• Must be able to move, pull, or lift at least 35 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
